The "Phantom of the Opera" started as a 12" figure from Sideshow Toys.

When I began to think of a setting for him, I thought of the scene where he is unmasked by Christine--probably the most memorable in the film.

I constructed the background walls from cardboard, applied the block wall design, and added the door.

I looked everywhere for a 1/6th scale organ, but had no luck.  I ended up building the organ and the music stand from scratch, using scale lumber from the local hobby store.  The local dollhouse store had laser-cut designs I used for the fancy trim and the music support for the organ.  I also found their candelabra to be about the right size for my needs.

When deciding on the pictures to show here, I had to put at least a couple in the "original" black-and-white format.

My only choice to "play" Christine in the unmasking scene was a Barbie doll that just doesn't look quite right.  I'm still searching for the perfect "victim".
